| Is there a European Islam?
Please don't hold me to the highest standards of BBC accuracy on this one. A Muslim saint, a Muslim portrait, acknowledging a Christian brother? Well, yes, Albania is the headquarters of the Bektashi, a Sufi group. Sunni Muslim Muslims are said to make up 70% of the population in Albania, and most of them are not Bektashi, who are Shia, but Sunni. It's mildly curious to me that while some people argue Turkey shouldn't join the European Union because most of its population is Muslim, I have never heard the same argument applied to Kosovo or Albania. Perhaps it's because they are so small. Perhaps it's because, for many, the religion is only nominal. As I write this, in Albania's capital Tirana , I can hear the call to prayer but the approach to religion seems much more European than the more profound attachments one may find in other parts of the world.
Jennifer Lopez And Hollywood Await The Evil Twin
MUCH excitement now that Jennifer Lopez, aka Jenny From The Block, is preparing the birthing mat for her twins. Twins are vey much the now look among celebrity babies. Julia Roberts gave birth to twins, and Angelina Jolie is, reportedly, carrying a brace of children. You are not anyone unless you have twins. Concerned celebs should circulate Ultrasound pictures of their unborn child and see if they can get a match. Anorak's UltraSound Database is not yet full functional, but if you send in your pictures we will do our best to find a twin. A hasty adoption may well stave off any feelings of Solo Kid Shame (SKIDS), and you should take care to pass off the 'twin' as a genetic throwback. Nice Little Earners In readiness for her twins, People magazine reports that Jenny has opened a "lengthy registry" with a shop called Petit Tresor (Little Earners).
Disabled advocates push Disney World, SeaWorld to allow Segways
When James Nappier, a petty officer in the Navy Reserve, first rode his new Segway scooter out into his Loxahatchee neighborhood, he felt emotions that were rare since he got home from Iraq. On the two-wheeled, electric scooter, he could get around easily. That felt like personal freedom. Standing on the upright vehicle, he could look neighbors in the eyes, not the belt buckles. That felt like equality. "It's been a godsend, because I can get out and get around on it," said Nappier, 49, who suffered leg- and arm-nerve damage in a May 2004 mortar attack in Ramadi, Iraq. .
Getting to the bottom of the MTB wheel size brouhaha
What's the best wheel size for an off-road bike? It's not a new question. In the 1980s a couple of manufacturers - notably Cannondale - offered mountain bikes with 24-inch rear wheels, and in the 1990s GT briefly dabbled with an all-purpose, intermediate size called 700D. More recently, some downhillers have used 24-inch wheels to allow fatter tyres in more-or-less conventional frames. But the biggest controversy has come about as a vocal group of bike makers and riders have adopted bikes with 700C-sized rims, and two inch tyres, a combination that has become known as a "29-inch" wheel for the overall diameter of the combination. Two-niners, as they are also known, are currently among the hot topics in the MTB world with riders of all disciplines extolling their claimed virtues over the well-established 26-inch standard.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, four members of the U.S. BMX Olympic talent pool sped down the 19-foot-high starting ramp and onto the 370-meter course, which is dotted with berms and sizable jumps. “We made a conscious effort to finish construction as quickly as possible," said Roush, the USOC's chief of performance. “[The United States] may be strong [in BMX] now, but this facility will ensure that when the rest of the world catches up, we will continue to be prepared," Indeed, ground wasn't broken on the project until November 4, 2007.

The previous government is responsible for everything bad our country has endured in recent times. With the land issue among other things, it is no wonder the people of fiji are discombobulated.
